CPAA National Quadrennial Convention

National Quadrennial Convention October 2027

Every four years Canadian Postmasters and Assistants Association gather from across the country to hold our Quadrennial Convention. The President, Vice President English and Vice President French are elected at this time for a four-year term. Each Branch is entitled to have their officers attend, together with delegates, elected at their Branch Annual Convention.  Any member, in good standing, is eligible to let their name stand for an officer or delegate.  The number of delegates representing each Branch is based on the number of members in that Branch.

During this parliamentary session, we bring forward changes or additions to our governance of Policies and Procedures as well as Bylaws for ratification and discussion as well as our National elections.

The location of the Quadrennial Convention rotates each time so that every Branch has an opportunity to showcase their Branch. The 23rd CPAA National Convention will be held in Moncton, New Brunswick at the Delta Hotel by Marriott Beauséjour, 750 Main Street on the October 18, 19 and 20, 2027.

Our National Convention happens every 4 years. At the Branch Quadrennial Conventions, delegates are elected to attend the National Quadrennial based on a representation of one delegate for every 150 members of that Branch.

The National Officers are elected at the National Quadrennial Convention. On years with no National Convention, Annual General Meetings are held to report on the activities of the CPAA.
