Dwayne Jones, National President
In 2003, Dwayne’s career with Canada Post began as a Term employee in Redcliff, Alberta. Throughout the next seven years, he worked in the capacity of a Part-time Assistant, Senior Assistant, as well as Postmaster. In 2010, he transferred into the Postmaster position of the Carstairs Post Office.
In 2008, and upon his appointment as Director of the Alberta, Northwest Territories and Nunavut Branch, he found his passion serving CPAA members. With a vacancy on the Branch Board in 2009, his role changed from Director to Branch Vice President and in 2010 he was elected as Branch President. Another exciting step in his journey occurred in 2012 on his election to National Vice President (English language). He looks forward to continuing to serve CPAA members.
Dwayne currently resides in Ottawa with his wife Kimberly and 3 children: MacKenzie, Kianna and Joshua.
Brigitte Faucher, National Vice President (French)
Hello dear members.
I have been with Canada Post for 22 years, it’s not always easy. Raised a family of three boys who in turn are parents. I climbed the ladder little by little at Canada Post with patience and dedication, and participating in conventions gave me a chip in my ear and the encouragement of my colleagues and friends and well here I am French-speaking Vice President at National. You never know where you’re going to be in 22 years. It is with joy that I will give all my attention and encouragement to all our French-speaking and English-speaking members across the country. I will have an “open door” policy for members who wish to visit the National Office in Ottawa.
Thank you for your trust.
Yours sincerely Brigitte
Judy Potter, National Vice President (English)
I grew up just around the corner from the National Office in Ottawa and started my full-time career as a legal assistant. I now live in Lanark, just west of Ottawa, where my husband, Ken, and I have raised two daughters in our rural community.
In 1998, I started with Canada Post in the Lanark Post Office, and like many of you, I travelled to different offices, to gain experience and extra hours, working as an Assistant and Postmaster.
While still working for Canada Post, I joined the CPAA Ontario Board of Directors in 2014 and became the Secretary-Treasurer for Ontario in 2016. I have now given up this position to accept the challenges that come with my appointment as National Vice President English.
Canadian Postmasters and Assistants Association is also a rural community. We are all about shared ideas, working together, listening, negotiating, patience, learning and adapting to the various needs of our individuals and our organization. Working as a community, we can accomplish greater things. I look forward to using my acquired skills in serving our members and the National Office across the country in our rural communities.
